Ralph Welcker

I'm an experienced international project manager and consultant in the field of migration, diaspora and development and international cooperation. I was among others responsible for the development, implementation and management of several 'brain gain'/temporary return programs involving diasporas from different countries of origin, including Afghanistan, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Georgia, Western Balkans and Indonesia, at the International Organization for Migration (IOM). I facilitated the temporary return of over 500 diaspora experts to different sectors of society in their countries of origin. My interests include diaspora engagement, international volunteering, integration/participation of migrants, community building, labour/circular migration, international cultural exchange, with a special focus on Indonesia. Currently I work as an independent consultant based in The Hague, the Netherlands.
