The William Davidson Institute (WDI) at the University of Michigan is an independent non-profit research and educational organization that creates and disseminates knowledge to support economic development in low-and-middle-income countries. The Financial Sector Development (FSD) initiative at WDI was established to identify and implement ways to improve access to capital for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in emerging economies.
