Mike Huckabee: Trump's first 100 days -- a string of impressive wins amidst left-wing craziness

Mike Huckabee: Trump's first 100 days -- a string of impressive wins amidst left-wing craziness. Presidents are judged by history largely by how they deal with such curveballs: did they meet them or duck and “lead from behind”? Judging a presidency by its first 100 days is like trying to predict your child’s future success from his or her first 100 days.

Trump's First 100 Days Gets an 'A' from Wall Street, 'B' from Main

Trump's First 100 Days Gets an 'A' from Wall Street, 'B' from Main. For President Trump – a once political outsider – navigating the complexities of lawmaking and perfecting the art of Beltway negotiation have come with a learning curve. But the markets, eagerly awaiting the rollout of his pro-business policies, have been mostly patient and optimistic.

BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS: CITY OF PEACE

Welcome to Reverend Buddy Larrier and his colleagues from the Universal Day of Hope Trust who have initiated Bridgetown, Barbados: City of Peace. In 1990, Reverend Larrier was inspired to make a proposal to world leaders for a “Universal Day of Hope” for Truth, Justice, Peace, Healing and Reconciliation. A charitable organization was established and a programme launched for 12th October as the day of hope. A proposal was sent to over 170 world leaders and International organizations. Over the past 24 years the ‘Universal Day of Hope Trust’ has been advocating for world peace. In 2001 a draft resolution for the 12th October as the ‘Universal Day of Hope’ for peace, healing and reconciliation was among the resolutions submitted to the United Nations World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance.

Refugee crisis: Meaning in the face of suffering

Refugee crisis: Meaning in the face of suffering. The contributions of religious communities in response to the current crisis are both distinctive and substantial. The import of the faith-based contribution is evident from the scope of their work. For example, the largest religiously inspired humanitarian organization in the United States, the evangelical agency World Vision US, has a budget of approximately $1 billion annually, approximately the same as major secular organizations like Medecins Sans Frontieres and Oxfam, while Catholic Relief Services’ budget of more than $600 million is similar to that of the secular International Rescue Committee.

Salvador, Bahia, Brazil’s center of black culture, gets it first multi-brand Afro-Brazilian fashion store. The so-called Afro-Brazilian entrepreneurialism has seen an enormous surge in recent years with a number of initiatives targeting the specific market tastes of the black community and led by small business men and women. And in Salvador, Bahia, the city with a reputation for its large black population and being the epicenter of Afro-Brazilian culture, recently we saw yet another example of this entrepreneurial spirit.

Why diverting more UK aid to fund cost of hosting refugees would be a mistake

Why diverting more UK aid to fund cost of hosting refugees would be a mistake. There has been an ongoing debate over the British government’s commitment to spend 0.7% of the UK’s gross national income (GNI) on foreign aid. First achieved in 2013, and enshrined in law by the Conservative-Liberal coalition in 2015, the UK was the world’s third largest donor of foreign aid in 2016, after the US and Germany.

We Cannot Afford Another 100 Days of Trump Without An Action Plan – By Rev. Al Sharpton

As we approach President Trump’s 100th day in office, many pundits and commentators are reviewing what he has not accomplished – and rightfully so.
